Written for 3 stanzas only contest by Broken Wings
Tears fall; they cannot mask my pain
Grief embedded so deep in my heart.
My stillborn babe, in death he’ll remain
Our whole world has just fallen apart.
For nine months you were a part of me
Time passed by, I could feel you grow.
Your tiny fingers and toes I longed to see
But your death brings us nothing but woe.
My breaking heart aches, bitter tears I cry
For you, but I know god had another plan.
I’ll think of you always when I look to the sky
Sleep safe in the arms of Jesus, my little man.
