In a night dream,
I dreamt of a magical creature;
a dolphin- who appeared in a moon beam,
and I wished a secret wish . . .
O, please take me on a wild deep blue ocean quest,
underwater he dove with me tightly pressed;
soon, we were skimming rolling waves obsessed . . .
O, what a team ~
Nine friends joined in,
from under the blue we would leap;
flying, flying we would twirl, whirl and spin,
then, back into the ocean deep . . .
Gliding- soon we arrived at an island lagoon,
their happy voices a chirping musical tune;
we rested tranquil in the cool under the moon . . .
'till time to begin ~
We journeyed far,
like free spirits with no shore;
following a bright blinking northern star,
and down we dove to explore . . .
Beautiful silent things hidden below the waves,
and a labyrinth of turquoise blue ocean caves;
and sadly, even ship wreck graves . . . .
We whirled bizarre ~
I woke shivering,
so cold- I pulled my covers tight.
O, why can I not stop this wild quivering;
then, faint his chirp drifts in the night ~
