Blue

Blue, The sky Reflected By the ocean. Blue lips of the drowned. Bodies trapped, never found. Blue songs sang to mourn the dead. Souls in sorrow coping, hoping. Blue water spout casting people out. Empty graves with flowers the hue of blue. Connie Marcum Wong

This is such a sad yet very moving poem....brings so much meaning on what this color can bring-- I think this is about the recent tragedy with the cruise ship but reading this just made me also remember Japan's March 11 earthquake, I can hardly believe that it was almost a year ago...hugs to you :)

Beautiful blue captured with air and light in your lovely poem. I also recognize your feelings about the disaster in the Mediterranean that shocked the world . A thoughtful verse that covers a lot of territory. :)

...All things blue...a lovely color, a sad color, a color as pervasive as the water and air that swathe our "blue" planet...a clean and calming poem, well presented and much appreciated.

Yes, I was thinking about all the bodies they haven't found and what a tragedy it is.
