~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words of poetry are like flames of incense burning in time, taking you through chambers of treasures, on an odyssey of goblins and dragons, of mermaids and elves. The rain queen pours into the chrysanthemums, giving them new life. Rhythm. She rests her sequined tiara, on the banks of the river, where streams of words flow toward distant mountains of a million stars.
Dear Sara, What a breathtaking journey through realms of imagination and beauty. Your words truly transported me to enchanted lands where goblins roam, dragons soar, and mermaids sing. The portrayal of the rain queen breathing life into chrysanthemums is simply magical, and words flowing like streams toward distant mountains of stars. Oh, my! Your poetic talent shines. Each line is a treasure chamber waiting to be discovered. Just an exquisite piece of poetry. - Blessings Daniel
your right, I wanted to create an almost mystical poem that spoke of the possibilities of the written word. Writing is a privilege for me, for I believe I'm a part of something almost miraculous that I don't always comprehend. Sometimes I just feel like a conduit -- if that makes sense. Thanks for your visit and for your in depth comments, Sara
Unlike prose, which generally has a finite ending and controls the reader's destination, poetry is up to the reader's interpretation as to where the journey ends and how they get there. Have a wondaful day, Sara.
I agree and good observation, Jerry. Writing poetry is a slightly different skill set than writing fiction or even non-fiction. I enjoy writing in all those forms, but poetry is so concise and thought provoking. Anyway, thanks for your comments and enjoy your evening, Sara
We have the ability to take our readers on incredible journeys, deserts, jungles and even gardens adorned with flowers. Our minds collect and store immense treasures of personal memories and even fictional places. Hope you have a lovely weekend Sara. Haven't been on much of late, been busy decorating, we'd managed to put it off for a while, but it's done now apart from a bit of painting of doors. Tom
Wow this is absolutely gorgeous! From the picture to your word weaving! Left me captivated and in awe of the way youve delivered this poem in the most mystical manner , depicting poetry so well. So true and hits strong too: i love how youve written “ words of poetry are like flames of incense! Wow! And “ the rain queen pours into chrysanthemum ” “ so unique and imaginative of you to phrase your poetic thoughts in such a manner with descriptive language. “ She rests her sequined tiara” fave!!
