Birds In the Sky

Birds in the sky, flying so high I cannot fly, I wonder why We each have our specific gift That gives us a good extra lift, Developing mine, I do try! Some things we simply cannot buy It surely does no good to lie Sending loud alto-like psssiftoo, Birds in the sky. When watching them, I often sigh I hear their lonely, plaintive cry, Especially the chimney swift I love to watch on currents drift, Birds in the sky. Written May 26, 2022

I am thankful that "We each have our specific gift that gives us a good extra lift," aren't you? I am enjoying your lift-gift this morning, Hank while I drink my coffee.

Nice Rondeau, Milt, great rhyming as usual. It's always interesting to watch people and things behaving in ways we are unable to duplicate. Bill

Indeed it is, Bill. Sometimes I sit on my front porch and marvel at the birds. They will chirp back and forth at each other. It is fascinating. I always wonder what they are saying. (chuckling)

beautiful rondeau, it's such a lovely form. I do love those birds in the sky. Envy their ability to just take wing and fly!!

Lovely to see them soaring in the sky ,especially the swallows because it's a sign good weather is on the way. Tom

That's true, Tom. I have often wondered how the birds know when to find shelter, knowing a storm is coming. And, where do they go?
