Blossom
Enchantment
Does my heart yet beat?
Beg you - listen close, for I cannot
I fear it has halted its inexorable drum
Swallowed, as I, by the depths of your gaze
Brown - dark as black, against a dazzle of perfect ivory
I plunge your eyes headfirst with abandon - swimming deep
Submerged in immaculate sensuality and coy allure, thus
Is there any such elegance amidst Heaven's throng?
Did the Gardens of Babylon hide such a bloom?
Be there any such symmetry and polish
That feigns to measure your eyes?
Pray thee, for my selfish sake
Do not yet blink them
For I could not bear
Their absence.
