THE RICH AND THE POOR ARE ALIKE BEFORE THE LORD WHO MADE THEM ALL."
Proverbs 22:2
"I SPEAK NOT FROM WANT FOR I HAVE LEARNED TO BE CONTENT IN WHATSOEVER CIRCUMSTANCES I AM."
Philippians 4:11
The Apostle Paul said that in one of his letters to the Philippians. He did most of his writing in a dungeon. He lost most of his sight because of that. |He was a true hero and a great man. He was born to affluence but gave it all up to follow Christ. He knew where true wealth really is. It's in the spirit. All the money and power in the world can't buy contentment. It CAN get you a heart attack though. After all, all work and no play together with worry over this and that makes John and Jane very sick.
I may never be wealthy.
I may never have fame.
I may never travel,
Or own my own plane.
I may never see sunsets,
In far away places,
Or meet famous people,
Or learn courtly graces;
But I have seen sunsets,
Unmatched by the others,
And the people I have met,
Are my sisters and brothers.
The wealth that I have,
Is neither silver or golden,
But one thing is sure,
It can never be stolen.
