Best Years
In spite of aging health
And having lost our youth
These are still undoubtedly
The best years of our life
Satisfied with little
We appreciate the value
Of kindness and compassion
A slower wiser pace of living
Knowing when something’s
Worth fighting for
Or rushing over
Taking nothing for granted
These being the best years of our life
