Before Your Sun Speaks
Pebbles of dust filter the night
awakened, I am
last birch embers linger
and in your glow I bask
Before your sun
the touch of bodies warm
senses pushed to old
cover ancient cracks
Glide elegantly with my water
as I slide deep into your soul
fill up my basket of emptiness
where life has taken toll
Etch your name into my memories
For I will do the same
