Before digital I remember the bony Tripping of seconds- This huge, brass monstrosity Glaring at me From the mantle; A lion I think… Reminding me of hunger And why only clocks Can perch and wait.

Interesting Joe, I'm picturing the brass lion clock perched on the mantle glaring…..good imagery!:)
