Beauty In Decay
"Dead leaves lay still until the wind takes them
here and there: even the last flower is withered:
yet there is a beauty in decay "
Quote by _Constance La France
In the dynamic landscape of many promises,
my vibrant life has persevered to pave
the pathway that meanders on the time’s trail,
traces the wheels’ imprints fading into the future,
as I traverse at a desired pace destiny decides.
Many streams in spate I’ve crossed in surging squalls
with the budding desires sheltered in my heart.
My dreams slowly wither like the autumn flowers,
and find all the enticed butterflies drift away
from my fawn meadow once so verdant .
The fallen leaves dance the last dance in my garden,
their rustling cadence resonates in my pensive heart.
As the setting sun wraps me with melancholic hue,
I seek the warm niche in your evasive embrace
in the chilly night that falls with broken dreams.
Far from the twilight hour into the desolate night,
I search for the remaining path to travel,
while in uncertain frail steps I walk the last mile
through the spent life’s debris of fulfillment,
I find there the stardust sprinkled beauty in decay.
