Constance's Eight Beautiful Lines Contest

"I have loved you across infinite space, and that is something time will never change." ~ by poet You ask how much I need you. I'll try to explain My desire overflows with emotions I could never feign If you were the pale moon and I the waning sun as it sets I would sing you a love song filled with sorrow and regrets that I can only see you when I'm awake and you're asleep But in my dreams, I am with you. My heart is yours to keep Finding a way to be together is a journey I'd gladly endeavor so, we can share every tomorrow, my love... now and forever

Lin, I really like how you've compared lovers to the sun and moon who are at a distance to each other. We were up at 5:00 AM the other day and went to the coast to see the moon bite a piece of the sun (partial eclipse). They do have an amazing relationship and we are so lucky to be able to observe. Smiles!!

I've written about them as star crossed lovers several times, Duke. I always see the moon as the feminine one. How poetic that you say the moon bit a piece of the sun. As lovers, I'm sure it was just a kiss on the cheek. ;-) Thanks for another fun filled comment box from you.

Dear linnersz, this poem made me cry! Seriously! It is so evocative and touching and made my soul heavy with emotions as i can resonate with not just the quote and the artwork but also so many lines in this especially “ If you were the pale moon and I the waning sun as it sets I would sing you a love song filled with sorrow and regrets” i wish i came up with those lines!
