Look how they dance in the warm summer air See them sip nectar from my pretty blooms As I relax in my comfy deck chair I just adore all the floral perfumes See them sip nectar from my pretty blooms They gently flit from flower to flower I just adore all the floral perfumes Which come drifting to my shady bower They gently flit from flower to flower I watch the beautiful bright butterflies Which come drifting to my shady bower They land on blossoms, then soar in blue skies I watch the beautiful bright butterflies As I relax in my comfy deck chair They land on blossoms, then soar in blue skies Look how they dance in the warm summer air removed from contest as it needed another verse adding 10-05-17

I love this write! I have not read your revised one yet, but I think that this one is written with marvelous skill! I felt comfortable while reading this ingenious poem, I felt at peace...with the butterflies! We have a lot of butterflies where I live, some beautiful ones too! What a wonderful piece my friend! Great Work!!

oh Pashang I know how you love your butterflies as they are always present in your beautiful paintings:-) I've added another stanza and re posted it for the contest but love this poem as it is so I am leaving it in its own right unchanged:-) hugs jan xx

I've withdrawn this one as it had one stanza to be added so i've done a little tweaking and re-posted it but i so love this version I'm leaving it as a poem in its own right:-0 hugs Jan xx

Thanks Anne Lise, I've had to re post it as a separate poem as I had made a mistake with the amount of stanzas so I've tweaked it a little and re-posted it, but i do love this version so its staying as it is:-) hugs jan xx

I love this poem Jan. Amazing rhyme and cadence and flow for the form. Makes perfect sense and is very moving. That is not by any means an easy puzzle to crack! Another Favorite for me. Thank you so much for sharing your talent!

Beautiful write "Jan" - you always seem to excel when using the form Pantoum - Lovely moving picture to go with it - I think you will be needing a few more deck chairs as we all cram in for an invite . . . : )

Thanks Indiana I adore writing this form and I think its my favourite after limericks. I get so much satisfaction getting the lines to flow and rhyme and get the final 4 lines to make sense:-) hugs jan xx
