Her movements express a sadness As she dances to lost love The center-stage reeling of emotion While the orchestra throbs on; And the ballet maiden weaves a lift Though no one sees hidden tears-- Except a performance for art's glory Unaware that her eyes can't see The audience's waved ovation.
