Ballet of Sorrow
Her movements express a sadness
As she dances to lost love
The center-stage reeling of emotion
While the orchestra throbs on;
And the ballet maiden weaves a lift
Though no one sees hidden tears--
Except a performance for art's glory
Unaware that her eyes can't see
The audience's waved ovation.
