I am amazed by this one, but in no way surprised. Some young mothers are truly the very best, rising to the occasion.

She did her best, my strong moral compass and well developed sense of humour are thanks to her. xomo

Thank you Andrea! Yeah... Been pondering a handle since I joined this place, this one just fell into my lap. Been referred to as both recently, I am a pigeon lover, having kept doves for over a decade, and well, I am a cheeky flirt, indeed a tart, so I'm owning it. xomo!

Yikes ... hard-hitting last line (careful what you wish for, I suppose). I like the starkness of your words. My Mom got married she was sixteen ... course most people at that time tended to marry much earlier than nowadays. As a side note ... I get why it's called "Baby May" ... but I wonder why the "I"? Maybe it's because it's her first mother's day as a mother?

I am the I, my birthday was on Mother's Day. But of course, there's many more layers than that. A many many layered birthday cake. This was/is a most cathartic piece. An emotional zit popped. Quite a mess was made I should say ;), Thank you Tim, xomo!

You laugh, but when your mum is dating a guy younger than the one that you are dating it get's weird. Cheers! (what are you drinking???) ;), xomo

Sorry my Dear One; you know Jesus was never shocked. He was more upset with men taking interest (usury), hating, neglecting family & PARENTS! than with women with "reputations." So much so Dan Brown makes great movie scripts, new lives for Mary Magdalene, freed from possession by Jesus. So, you are pure, the essence of YOU. That's what Jesus actually taught (maybe [?] Paul did a bit of serious editing in his own letters to churches).

Jesus was a champion feminist. It takes a religion to enslave women. Funny that, with religions starting with women. My mother never got over the judgement and our relationship suffered for it. But I understood, and I forgave. Thank you my friend, xomo

Oh wow! So what was it like growing up with such a young mom then? When I say, oh wow, no judgment.

I consider wow a compliment. When it comes to art, a reaction is a reaction, like, love, or hate. To be honest, I'm still figuring that out. She tried her best. xomo

Sometimes you must grow up too fast - is this about someone in your family?
