Autumn Wedding

A tiny group meets in the clearing of an umber wooded area to see the celebration of their dear friends’ love. The bride has chosen nature’s scenery for wedding colors! Near a crimson tree the groom stands waiting with a pumpkin smile which seems fixed on his face for this short while! Cinnamon is the grin of his sweet bride who wears an amber gown this sun-lit day. Slowly she approaches to stand beside her groom as saffron leaves begin to play in fall’s light breeze along her bright pathway. It’s the autumn of their lives! Ginger strands lend fire to her grey hair as they hold hands. Sept 22, 2017 for the AUTUMN RHYME ROYAL judged/finalized 10/5/17 Now used for Broken Wing's Contest: 'A Poem, I Wrote and Sent Drifting' (Title was changed after my N/A)

A really clever play with theme and words. Those days we did the Buzz poems really trained us for this kind of inventiveness. Should place very high. Hugs, SuZ
