Autumn Sacrifice

Autumn Sacrifice Autumn empties herself out EVERYTHING – her gifts from summer-spring maturity - ALL her bounty – never hoarded in a grasping hand – Gathered and released before howling hind sights come, Before she sounds her eloquent abundance From a clear and sweet cornucopia horn – Before the silence of hibernation pauses her theme Until future days bloom; A WHOLE, complete unselfish sacrifice SHOW her delight - GIVEN in selfless generosity – Highlight the eternal mystery - abiding pure affection - The barren giving birth in an everlasting rondelle. 10/17/20 Everything – Job 33:1 Show - Mark 1:44 Whole - John 7:23 All - Is 25:6 Given - Ps. 105:5

You've been writing of autumn so consistently well these recent weeks, and this one is lovely with your words culled from scripture verses. 'Before she sounds her eloquent abundance' and 'everlasting rondelle' are tops for me. Congrats on your #1 hit! Harvest blessings, dear friend ~ John

Thank you dear friend. Had a feeling the scripture references would not escape your keen eye! I have to give credit to PS for the consistency. With all of the different themes and poetry contests I have felt challenged to stretch. I guess it shows. Thank you for noticing! Sending you autumn blessings and peace.

Thank you so much Krish! I was truly amazed at the way the words fit together like pieces in a jigsaw puzzle - must be a Spirit thing! Once I got the first line it almost wrote itself! Hope you are doing well! All the best.
