Atrocities' Doubts

what if Adam had not taken that first bite would paradise not have been lost temptations come our way each day surely someone else would have succumbed what if Christ had not sacrificed his life for our sins would our souls have remained in eternal limbo what if the holocaust had never taken place would Hitler’s alter ego have caused even more pain should we prance ‘round and ‘round with such thoughts dizzy and deliriously consumed by doubts or accept what has transpired in the past with resolve to learn from history

what if Socrates philosophies spawned hypothesis of Joey's antifreeze poetic mockeries, and possibly the infantry of parenthesis enclosing thee, notice me, definitely, making pathetic rhymes on Devonshire's valuable time, So she threw me in the Soup prison, for committing a crime. ---Ok. Enough with the White Boy Rapping again. I promise I won't do it again, until next time. But back to the reason of this comment...Cool Poem ! Me Likey!

Hi Carolyn, thank you for all your kind comments. I surely would write many more comments myself if I wouldn't had this trouble with my right arm and hand. Today it was worse again and quite painful. What a great and expressive poem! Wish you best of luck in the contest!! Have a relaxing week!...Love, Gert

Yes all those thoughts keep spinning round and round and then some.... NO answers but as you say ..all that is left is resolve to learn from History .... well ... how we doin' so far? on the world level it seems to be zip as far as learning from history goes ..the only thing left that we can possibly do anything about is the personal level .. hmmm. some thinking is good Carolyn and this one does it. Nd thank you for your awesome comment. Didn't think anyone liked that one much. God bless You

Its an insightful work, wouldnt have communicated it better; but all the "what ifs" can not solve any problem because what has been, has been; an what is, is. really enjoyed d work

I don't buy the pre-ordained plan concept. Why did God give us free will? Unfortunately we'll never know the answers to these questions. Good luck in Desiree's contest. Best to you, Diane

Carolyn, I enjoyed this write of yours and I just had a look at Chris' comment.. I agree with the pre-ordained plan, I always feel that things happen for a reason, even the pain and heartache.. Which is always difficult to grasp while going through it.. I really enjoyed your approach to the contest hun.. Good luck to you ;-) love Wilma

Ah, but what it would have been like to live in Eden!

Ah, LOL, I thought you were asking if I'd heard RH was now haunting the forest : ) Yes, I think people in those days believed in spirits of the wood very strongly - probably fairies etc too. There is a certain magic in the woods at night, though

I am only able to read a few poems today and wanted to read one of yours, Carolyn. This is a thot provoking write.I stopped to contemplate each question and I am so thankful that my creator holds all the answers in his hands and will relay infinite wisdom to me one day. Just imagining if Hitler would have kept marching right across Europe and eventually had taken over the globe. Wow..it would be a different world today. Will be focusing on school the next couple days..still liftin u in prayers.
