At the Arboretum
At the Arboretum
Two walked the gardens on that day;
(Only one seen on the rock pathway)
One struck with pansies, lilies, greens!
The Other in peace enjoys the scene.
A rustling breeze was softly blowing
Waterfalls trickled as gentle rain
Beauty not stagnant, ever growing
Lifting the weight of all mental pain
And the one whispered “thank you Father”
Heart beating in a cadenced thrill,
With the trilling of a thousand songbirds
A tree-breeze-flower-watery fill.
The unseen Other whispering too,
My dear child it is my grace for you,
And all others who will walk with Me
Will be filled with Truth, My glory see.
