~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The river, in her generous curves, shines blue amid the leafy green. She brings the sound of frolicking water to the percussion of the tree canopy. In this way she invites the soul to dance even when we sit absolutely still. sometimes a river encompasses all the world as the sun goes down

This is beautiful (fave now)! I clicked here to learn about what a haibun is and found your lovely gem. Love the generous curves, percussive leaves, and the soul dance while sitting still. the length of prose is just right - an immersion in the scene without drowning in words. And the haiku part expresses that scene with appreciation.

As always whenever i need somewhere soothing a place where i can feel calm i visit your poems, they are homely and i feel the tranquility as i read. Very well written poem this is.
