Arizona My home is in Arizona. It is a hot state indeed. That is exactly why I am here. It has a temperature in the summer of over one hundred and ten, then they stop counting, as not to scare the newcomers from becoming old-timers. No. They will run and hide, when they find out... the truth... but not I. I love the desert and the heat, I love the way I can feel my feet. I am always cold, and it gets very old. So bring the sun, and let's have some fun. Arizona.

Love horses too, see the horseshoe diamond around my lil neck, a symbol of what was to come! Snowbirds are the elderly and are known to reside in AZ when retired. I served them at the bar and grill in Tucson, they love their meat red and juicy. I got my first tattoo there. The bus boy Joey said his mom needed to pay the rent and was offering $50. tats!

Lovely tribute to Arizona Ann. I feel the same about NM and west TX, too.

Bill, I had the opportunity to go up with the BRITS! El Centro Calif. They were recruiting at that time, I was on a C131! The Falcons and other royalty parachuted out as I hung onto a handle with all of my might! Did you know woman can be recruited up until 38 years of age?

God blesses Arizona, more than even we know. I think he does that everywhere... but few take time to see. Yes, less heat. But I love the heat here too. I makes my joints not hurt so bad. Take care and ty so for stopping by. Prayers for a good day for you... everyday... Ann

Hi Ann, thanks for writing about Arizona. A knockout state. Was only there once and did not want to leave. I have always wanted to live in Sedona. Too late now. But I live in a part of California where the temperature is identical to Sedona minus the Red rocks, the lore, the beauty of that city and your state.I love the desert, the foods and Arizonians. Add white water rafting!fun! Congratulations on marrying a cowboy Fantastic…. Love, Panagiota xxx

Enjoyed the read, Ann. I feel the same way about Texas though our heat is probably a little more humid than yours. It has been a hot summer here in Dallas so far this year, but I don't mind a bit. John

Yes, Texas is much like AZ... and the cowboys are extremely similar... I married one in April... and am having the best time of my life. We just bought a baby goat, and turkeys and chickens... life is changing. God bless you and your family. Ty for your kind comments. Ann

I always wanted to ride my horse in Arizona but that was in younger years. I enjoyed your write of the home you love. I'm in Mississippi and the south is known for humid heat. Maybe the dry heat is easier to deal with. Thanks for an easy uplifting read.
