As I stand at your grave I am weeping
for every new tomorrow without you
it cannot be real I want to scream
and my soul was scared ... has been scared
scared for days for this final letting go
how can I go on without you beside me
without your hand in mine
the sound of the priest praying
and people faces fade away
even the bird songs cannot be heard
it is just me and you, my darling
and you are suddenly standing beside me
holding me, caressing my hair
kissing my tears away
then, mother takes my hand in hers
and leads me away
but, I resist wanting to stay with you
weeping, weeping, until
my father hold me to his heart
be still my sweet girl, be still
this will pass ...
and so between my loving parents
I left you alone that day
It has been years now
and I go often to visit you
bringing flowers for your engraved mossy stone
and my tears
a lovely tree gives you shade in the summer
and many birds sing you songs
it is a peaceful place my darling husband
so rest in peace
I am doing fine
but, I miss you every moment of every day
oh, wait for me at the gate of Heaven
I will be there soon
