'ancient Clock'
The sundial is a clock of time,
an eternal path of the sun;
and I have one in my garden for fun.
It is not the sort of clock to chime,
for without the sun it is sleeping;
it needs the sunshine to be creeping.
A light dance down and dance up climb,
I have one in my garden- intense;
with words poetically immense,
with words that move me to pen rhyme.
Oh, nothing in this life endures;
so, don't let yesterdays be your lures.
Oh, embrace all of time's sublime,
Browning wrote- grow along with me;
the best is yet to be- agree?
The sundial is a clock of time,
it is not the sort of clock to chime;
a light dance down and dance up climb,
with words that move me to pen rhyme;
oh, embrace all of time's sublime.
