Anacreontic Verse 2 --- Blue
A river of blue
meanders through
morning's mood
to dwell with pools
of scattered tears
that drip anew
around my shoes
It floods my thoughts
with old debris
and I can't stop
the memories
Deep in a spell
I dip my quill
into hues
of cobalt blue
I'll write to you
sad words to tell
that dwell in the room
without you
But sparks of blue
between the clouds
are welcome now
All the sky
swells wide outside
with blue again
Sun is high
and by and by
I say goodbye
to you and to
the dawn's blue mood
