Amid the Jagged Shadows
"Amid the jagged shadows of mossy leafless boughs; "
Samuel Taylor Coleridge
barren branches spray woe
amongst nude fears-
touching rough twigs with
ease;
and in the trading of
desires I realized I was…

down into redemption’s abyss,
calling deception’s bliss
broken heart worn in solitude,
I go towards the light…
I go ~ I go
I strike like lightning,
free willed and manic
across universes of sorrow;
I am frightening,
I am frightening.
I am lone-
without tomorrow
cascading veins of black,
downward into depths o’ so
deep even hell holds no key;
I beg and I plea...
I plea ~ I plea
for joy has been my debris
barren branches spray woe
amongst nude fears-
pretending I am letting go;
desires traded joy for my tears
