Alas it is acceptance that I seek By entering all these contests Can I produce something sleek Demonstrate finesse Early entries are advised For ensuring you get a chance Got to wonder if it's wise Have I time for a second glance I have to give it a shot Just be in it to win it Kicked out or number one spot Luck or maybe genuine hit My followers now number six Nice people they are too Originally thought the place full of cliques PoetrySoup is quite a unique crew Quietly I'm getting better Raising up my game Some may think a go-getter Though insecurity my middle name Update my poems with my place awarded Very pleased with feedback With that my winning is rewarded Xennial that I am, waving Union Jack Yesterday I wasn't a poet but today I am Zillion poems a minute, doing the best I can A Forms And Words Challenge Poetry Contest 20th February 2023 Sponsored by: Sotto Poet 1st place

Thanks Jo, I'm realising the value of editing them later rather than just posting first drafts. I think given my spattering of success I might consider doing a creative writing course so I can learn the rules:)
