Very alluring and mysterious, if memory is malleable, how do we know what is true?

It was prompted by me considering a Facebook memory that popped up - most certainly you can never tell with photographs. The next layer was holiday memories, where the annoying bit fade with memory. Sometimes memory is enhanced so much you can wonder what's wrong with the present day (until tomorrow reorders yesterday) x
