A Writing Rant
oh Writing- my eternal rapture
my curse and burden of words winding and twisting
in my head . . . oh the hurting
always seeking a pen, a pencil some white paper or a paper napkin
maybe a paper bag . . .
why can I not just be still and lost in my tranquility and serenity
why this need- this everlasting, ever, never ever ending need
do others feel this hunger and thirst to write down words
like air to breathe- I must write my thoughts
I must, must, must, MUST . . .
to not- only leads to anguish and misery
I find myself in a tortuous labyrinthine tangled
oh, the torment of words whirling in my head seeking release
gives me a headache . . .
I let unrelenting words loose to float and drift
my sorrow and sadness entwined in poems I surrender
all my tears spilling and all my joy telling
and for a moment I find my peace . . .
do others feel the same I rant, rant, rant
do others have this same thirst . . .
