A Walk Along a Leaf Covered Path
Today I walked along a leaf-covered path,
that led me to a quiet place of contemplation
and within its beauty, my memories, I could
empath.
I gifted the memories I have held so dear, sharing
the emotions within that seems to always bring me
to tears; year after year.
There I left them all to rest; for my soul needed
healing, for that, is what is best. Letting go and moving
on, the new journey for me, has now begun.
As I left that quiet place; I knew with ease, the new days
I could face. Spiritually I know, I will never be alone.
That knowledge brought solace to me.
I peacefully headed back home.
