A Void of Thought

You do not know what you do not know, devoid of thoughts your mind holds in escrow. Missing breaths and short flickers of twilight may induce your awareness to take flight. Attention wanes, there is no afterglow. Body intact, the mental functions go. Notions remix in your brain's portmanteau lacking needed emotional insight. You do not know. Like a bad dream where visions do not flow, like when chaff from grain refuses to blow, the void is that sidelined space satellite circling, still circling unable to light. Casting you in Alzheimer's blurred shadow, you do not know. August 8, 2021
