A Trophy For Everyone
I am fairly certain that I
couldn't write a Love Guide?
I could try – after years of developing
a connoisseur-like wandering eye --
but, after all has been said
and dones (need the plural), about
my many non-wins, and, not so many,
in fact, few occasional-wons~ ahead of time,
outcomes, whether day or night,
I've never been right!
But, I can say, it is definitely not
about degrees of intelligence...or, in my case,
lack of degrees. As for feelings, losers are just
as passionate – my firsthand accounts
more, I think, love can be likened to a
horse-race: if one doesn't break a leg
or foul before the finish-line, even
last place is deserving of a trophy –
for just having been brave enough
to compete~ on blessed occasion,
finishing affectionately
with 4 feet.
