A Tree

‘The tree which moves some to tears of joy is in the eyes of others only a green thing which stands in the way.’ - William Blake

old corkscrewed tree
reaches up towards the light
	challenges endured
incidental twists are crowned
     by life’s abundant blessings

That is where the similarity ends as tanka is NOT an extended haiku.
