A Response To Rudyard Kipling's If

Virtue is a liquid gold. If I took a cup and I tried to capture it, could I fill it up? All the courage, hope and love I could ever hold melted into just one cup of most precious gold . . . Knowing myself as I do, sadly I must say, I do not believe that cup would even fill halfway. Oct. 26, 2018

Surely you give yourself too little credit. But humility is one of my favorite traits, so THAT cup is overflowing! Nice write ~ John

thanks, John. I think I just found one I have never given to Brian. (wonder if it would at least garner an HM!)

When trials intense come hard upon us. It's patience and understanding that mend the fence. That's when we show what's in our cup. Be it full or half, that's what makes sense.

Clever quick poem, enjoyed it, I suspect people who write such a poem and think that way are kinder and deeper thinkers than anyone who thinks and says they are wonderful and great!!! Just in case you were worried about yourself! Hope not.

Very nice my dear. Once I wrote... If you plant the "if", the "maybe" may grow...

You will certainly fill up that cup. I think the sentiments you expressed are applicable to many. Words of modesty make you shine, Andrea. Best for a win at the TOP.

...half full or half empty.....at least you've got the cup....Andrea, the value is not in how full the cup is.....but in how it became less full......
