My driving instructor John Kermode taught me to drive safely on the road Then got me through my driving test- as an instructor I’d rate him the best! Clerihew Poetry Contest Sponsored by Regina McIntosh My driving instructor John was such a fabulous teacher, he had never allowed a child to be in the car during a lesson, but as my son was so incredibly well behaved when he met him he said he would see how we got on in my first lesson. My son played quietly with a toy, looked at a book and fell asleep during the lesson and he continued to accompany me up until the day I took my test … I passed first time! 12/19/20

Ahh!! Such an honor you have bestowed upon him. The state patrol who gave me my test said he did not see how I could drive at all with all the ruckus my three children would be making when I was driving. Congrats on your winner. Sara

My driving instructor has saved my life hundreds of times because he made us turn our heads, never relying on mirrors. There really are blind spots.

What a great story. Did your son let you stay in the back seat during his lessons? Merry Christmas Jan. Hugs Rick.

How well behaved your son must be Jan. My best friend taught me how to drive and with a stick shift. I think I gave her some early grey hair running stop lights because I was pre-occupied by working the clutch so it wouldn’t stall on me. I enjoyed your poem. I hope all is well with you health wise. Blessings xxoo
