Such warmth I feel in comforts hold
when cloaked beneath the candles glow
from this tranquil nook my heart doth go
where artists play and dreams unfold.
With words I am carried off in time
to distances unknown before
for love from fantasies in rhyme
or mysteries lived on moonlit shores.
I flee into such make believe
and rise in peace to love again
to put at rest my cause to grieve
forgetting all torment and pain.
In this world my thoughts run free
to bring me pause for where and why
with candle light to truly see
enabled passions mortal cry
