A Midnight Song

A midnight song, a starry note A wounded bird with dreams afloat A "blackbird" wishes on a star Though its wings won't yet take it far Its wings will heal so it can fly And soar amidst the clouds on high And then this bird will sing its song As the midnight moon sails along

What a beautiful poem this is, dear Joseph, describing a journey of surviving those wounds and leading a journey of healing! I love how you've painted the atmosphere here in such a delicate manner with a seamless flow throughout. "wounded bird with dreams afloat A "blackbird" wishes on a star" And the ending! Absolutely gorgeous! Loved reading this so much, as always ~ light and best wishes to you.
