A Man Named Fish
On the 10th October in the UK in 1987
and even though the winds were getting strong
Assured by local weather man, known as Mr Fish*
no need to panic there was nothing wrong
During the bleakest hours of darkness
gale force winds wreaked utter devastation
A man named Fish then made a wish for his annihilation

*After his weather forecast, saying there would be no storm; in the early hours of the 10th October 1987 with winds gusting at up to 100mph, there was massive devastation across the country and 18 people were killed. About 15 million trees were blown down. Many fell on to roads and railways, causing major transport delays. Others took down electricity and telephone lines, leaving thousands of homes without power for more than 24 hours.
The public has never let him forget it…
