This is a bit of history that deserved a poem, and Mr. Fish is probably on this site laughing at his new-found fame. So well done indeed, Ann. Fun truth!

Haha, glad you enjoyed it Caren. It came to mind last night as the wind began to strengthen and rain was pounding on my window panes and annoyingly it is still the same this morning! Happy Days xx

Yes I remember those days too Jan, although not sure the forecasts are much better today even with all their technology! Today in the SE there is a raging gale and torrential rain - yuk, roll on summer.. Kindest thoughts Ann xx ps hope your weather is better on the IOM

Yes, he was the butt of peoples jokes for years and his forecast is still available to view on the internet. I think it brought him a certain amount of notoriety which I am sure he enjoyed! I wrote this poem initially to enter Pithy Pants contest, but now not sure it is suitable as they have to be about climate warming. Anyway Sunlite I am so glad you enjoyed it and thanks for your visit. Kindest thoughts Ann xx
