A Lost Earring

Atop my mirrored dresser are earrings, and many pretty pairs are on display along with necklaces and other things. I love my jewelry but oh, one day! I saw a lovely pair had lost one mate! Pure sapphire was the set. I almost cried to see just one remained. What was the fate of that lost gem? To look for it, I tried. I looked beneath my feet and all around. Years passed. One sapphire earring sat alone, I felt its match was never to be found. A cleaner cleaned our vents and found the stone! It somehow showed up in a hallway vent! That lost earring no more do I lament! Great ending for a poem that I was feeling the pain of lost for you. I have so many ear rings that I've lost the pair to and just can't seem to get rid of them.

I see a little mouse, wearing a mask and gloves, trying to out-theft the Cat-burglar. Such a lovely story. Well told.

Did you ever figure out how it could have gotten into the vent? Reminded me of a diamond out of Deb's ring that came up missing on an airplane flight. The FAs helped search as well as passengers, and it was found between the carpet and the outside bulkhead after much searching. How it got there was anyone's guess. Deb certainly didn't know.
