A Huge Tiny Creature
deep in the jungle
of a desert lowland
lived a huge tiny creature
the size of his hand
his mouth was just like
a mountain ravine
with a belly as big
as a washing machine
this enormous old thing
really tiny and thin
who was ever so young
with a long curly tongue
a lot of red hair
bald headed and fair
too many toes
and an upside down nose
he would stand in the open
and hide under a rock
and wait there all day
wearing only one sock
and if anyone shouted
“why are you there?”
he’d always shout back
“I’m not, I am here!”
