Body Ails Yet Spirit Soars
A thousand miles these feet had and still taking,
with one step in front of the other since birth awakened.
Wisdom in each loose silver strand
as if each breath of whispers were planned.
Once in a while these eyes had seen
Miracles as years went, were treasured, and gleaned.
Flaming sunset brought sore knees and cold hands,
Generations of tangled and answered prayers transcended.
Body ails yet spirit soars
with blessings of the Lord.
