AI Panacea Or Pain

A human writer needs, to think and many times rewrite their work. We put our heart, creativity and imagination into each piece we write. AI has stolen, the creativity and imagination from writers. The human writer is the true creator, creator from their human heart. AI is the great copier, because they have No heart to write with. I write for the reader, I am a human poet all the way.

You are absolutely right dear Paula. AI can replicate, but can't produce the original with life and heart. Beautifully written. I wonder if it is for a contest! If so, all the Best.

Hi Paula; sorry about that. Hope this shows. Thank you for this write, Paula. I have also come to the opinion, that AI should not be allowed on creative writing sites. When identified use, the writer should be banned, so as not to mislead young writers, thus, also helping to keep the integrity of honest poetry free from artificial stink. AI will soon write a new interpretation of the bible I am certain. A logical interpretation, but void of spiritual essence. Just because something can be done, does not mean man should do it. AI is not simply a tool, like an encyclopedia or text book with valuable examples of meaningful reference, it is a soulless entity that will lead to ever greater intellectual and moral depravity.

No matter how one, slices, dices, spruces it up, puts lipstick on it, when it comes to writing poetry, AI is plagiarism!~ just like parts of the sentence.

Nicely espoused, Paula! Those opening lines are spot on...I too do exactly just that: write, rewrite and constantly update and change...or even change back. I bet Ezra Pound would have loved Poetrysoup...he would have been reguarly correcting and reshaping his work. Good poem! My regards! :) john

Good Morning! It's morning in India. I remember the time as a child my capasity in mental arithmetics. Now, I need a calculator even to count any digit. This is the case with many. Younger generation practically do not know what mental arithmetics is. AI has come now to dwarf the imagination of our younger ones. This has become the fashion of the hour. I think many inventions of such might fill in the world and make humans robbots. Anyway - Change is norm of the society.
