Ominous is the perfect word. Your winter storms must be dreadful. But soon spring arrives. Hugs.

Anne-Lise....first of all, hope you are safe and well. The weather patterns will just get crazier and like nothing we normally see. It's something we have to pay for...though we might try suing the oil companies for any damages.

It's really scary my dear poet friend Anne-lise. We usually have this in our country, over 20 a year. Hope this year will be less. Another well-crafted & awesome poem my dear poet friend. Thanks for sharing. A blesed Sunday! Hugs

darkness of oblivion The oil lamp…this went together quite nicely, the tongue in a twister. Great, Anne-Lise!

The horrors you described in your poetry touched close to heart, Anne-Lise. Those in the United Kingdom and Ireland who were left without electricity and whose homes have been damaged by this hurricane have my deepest sympathies. The wind remains rather strong, but I'm hoping it will slow down later on today. Your words are tragic, and your image is striking.

- I'm OK, Paula :) - This storm is really scary... I live 8-10 minutes from the ocean and the windows are gray, covered with salt... I hear the power of the waves inside the living room - hugs

Your poem hit home hard , it has been horrendous here Anne-Lise I've never known conditions like it - one house has lost its roof:-( the wind reached 107mph on the mountain and 94mph where I live - truly scary. I feel for those in Ireland and the UK who have lost power and had destruction of properties caused by the storm. Hopefully it will abate later today but it is still very windy. Hugs Jan xx
