I've picked many bouquets with dandelion A child's hand gave them to her mother // Weeds ... she said Sunshine ... I said They were put in water the next day they were gone // A child's hand picked a fresh bouquet to her mother // Weeds ... she said Sunshine ... I said They were put in water the next day they were gone // A child's hand made a pretty flower wreath of the sunshine flowers //Throw it ... said her mother ... you will get warts on your hands // Dandelion is just as gorgeous today Brave and strong - I have no warts on my hands - A impossible weed, some would say 26/08/2021 Sun :) - A-L Andresen :) Copyright © All Rights Reserved

Love Dandelions; two three years old, would trap bees in the grass under my cupped hand -- never got stung...the best of what parents know may have been forgotten as they grew up. Excellent write!

Dandelions - a kid’s bouquet. They droop right away but that doesn’t matter. The kid’s bouquet, priceless :)

Beautifully done, Sweet friend. One man's trash - is another's treasure! As is with this flower/weed. God bless you always, Love, Gina

Dear Anne-Lise, your poem had a profound effect, as parents, we should shut our eyes and let the children proceed to see and assimilate the world? Every generation has its own thoughts. A well-written poem that makes everyone feel something and awakens our inner selves. Hugs!

This is very poignant Anne-Lise. When do we adults stop seeing the magic in children's eyes and hearts - the wonder of the world around us. I like this. Wonderfully penned story that reaches into our hearts, re-awakening the child in us Hugs!

Oh I love this Anne - Lisa. They can be bright and cheery. I remember in childhood , picking flowers for May Day and making little baskets filled with them, leaving them on neighbors doorsteps :)

They are lovely flowers Ann, I don't know why they class them as weeds. Hope your week is going well.. Tom
