Odin | ragnarok marks the end of the world

Håvamål

"Little a sand-grain, little a dew drop,
  Little the minds of men:
All men are not equal in wisdom,
 The half-wise are everywhere"

"The mind alone knows what is near the heart,
  Each is his own judge:
The worst sickness for a wise man
Is to crave what he cannot enjoy."

The Vikings were fearless seafarers   ~ Their aim was, assaults and battle ... steal, rap and kill On the mighty castle of Åsgard ~ It was Odin who is ruled ... and everyone knew it Someone had heard that Vallhall was the kingdom of death ~ Was it really true that Valhall had a roof made of silver ? Many chose the road to Odin's Hall "Heaven bridge between the world of God ... and humanity in Norse mythology" 15/01/2018 Sun :) - A-L Andresen :) Copyright © All Rights Reserved

Dear Anna Lise, I was most intrigued by this wonderful poem as I love mythology. The lines where you say not all men are equal in wisdom and the half-wise are everywhere certainly rings true in this crazy, complicated and many times cruel world we live in. I also want to thank you for always reading and commenting on my poems. You always make me feel good. Take care Celine Rose Mariotti

There once was a movie called "The Vikings", one of my favorite movies of all time and I have a model of a Viking ship which I have carried with me everywhere I've ever lived. Such a colorful history they had as is your delightful poem.

Very interesting. I love mythology of the ancients. I must revisit the Norse Gods and their Vikings. I read somewhere about a Female Viking who led men into battle. I must look into that again. Very inspiring, the Female Viking and this poem.x

Gosh he looks scary, a bit like our fighting champion Conor Mcgregor. Like Silent One, I enjoyed very much my visit to the Viking museum in Dublin and also those in Norway and Iceland. Their boats are so graceful looking. Plenty of their blood is mixed with ours. Beautifully written Anna-Lise.

My favorite, Thor spake: "What, pray, art thou? | Why so pale round the nose? By the dead hast thou lain of late? To a giant like | dost thou look, methinks; Thou wast not born for the bride."...the Norse culture is fascinating...

Fortunately the descendants of Vikings do not " steal, kill and rape " but produce, help and love in that way they can cross the bridge of good to heavens! Excellent history and spiritual lesson my friend, Anne-Lise! Hugs xx

There is that bridge between humanity and God ..without the believers, whether in mythology or otherwise, emptiness would rule. A unique theme Anne-Lise.
