I adore the overwhelming color of the northern lights impressive and gorgeous at the same time On the long dark nights of winter from November to February a ideal time for a glimpse of this wonderful performance Sky vault in brocade with star embroidery From such beauty, waves vertigo Come dance with me, my love The glow from celestial hall to celestial hall An association with a handful of peacock feathers brings a warm fire into the human heart lifted up by shining wings with a light and quivering kiss 16.11.2022 Sun :) - A-L Andresen :) Copyright © All Rights Reserved Beauty Of Night Contest Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Sotto Poet 2nd place in the contest

Anne-Lise, this is as delicate as Aurora's dance and as fiery as her magnetic sparks twirling in curtains of pirouettes - constantly changing shape and color - a magic light show indeed. Congratulations on your win! I am so happy for you. This is as beautiful as aurora herself. I am so happy I had a chance to read it! Nordic hugs of light to you! :)"

A gorgeous show indeed, Anne-Lise. Enjoyed the embroidery you speak of in this ode to northern lights. A delightful romantic ending: An association with a handful of peacock feathers brings a warm fire into the human heart lifted up by shining wings with a light and quivering kiss. Another FAVE from me for this poetic vocabulary.

you are lucky to have seen the northern lights, anne-lise! your poem has a beautiful description of them and the matching picture is gorgeous, but i'll bet they're much more amazing in person...

My daughter went to Iceland a couple of years ago and she was lucky enough to see that brilliant lightshow she said how amazing they were. Tom
