The First Spring Smiles

Spring marks the end of winter and start of summer It is lovely with colorful contrasts Norway is a long country with a lot of mountains and valleys Wide variations in climate from south to north and from east to west Migrant's return, and the first flower is coltsfoot Both humans and animals awakened by hibernation with new energy The sun is high, no snow falls and the birds singing Small downy mouse ears to be leaves on birch tree 01.04.2016 A-L Andresen :)

This is like a narrative poem in which I'm learning new things like culture, climate and the way how animals are behaving on the other side of hemisphere, among others. Great write, over all. :)

Hi Anne Lise! I would love to enjoy spring in Norway; it sounds delightful! Here in Malta spring arrived early, and in my garden the medlars are rounded, yellow and juicy! hugs // paul

Maltese medlars (Japanese plum) have white flowers which then give place to edible yellow fruit. It's best eaten fresh, but it can be made into preserves. [look it up under 'naspli'] hugs // paul

Ahh!! Interesting facts about your lovely land..I enjoyed reading and learning..Thanks for the visit to my page..The bull dog named Bull is just a big baby and he did not mean to bite me but they can be vicious and I worry that he could revert to his killer instinct if something triggers it..Sara
