~ An age of artificial love...has no deep feelings ~ Quote by poet She sees the shadow of herself, aura of indigo Lick honey from life's thorns, no knight in shining armor Why her over someone else, why should her heart be an exception? Grieving a lost dream of the prince on the white horse Her heart yearns for touch, smiles and love where everything in life feels wonderful and magical She felt numb and that life was pointless without someone to share it with The full moon with a white-golden hue appears up She leaves the door ajar so the cat can enter – the unconditional love of a pet is priceless

Anne-Lise, this is interesting and points out some of the toughness of aging without one's partner. I've known some people who have done very well and some who haven't. It's hard to know which we'll be. Smiles!!

This old lady sounds a little sad and very lonely, yearning for love in her life - you have explained this story with so much compassion my friend, so well written - Congrats on your win and yes a pet always loves his or her human parent unconditionally. Blessings, Jennifer.

Yes, our little friends can be of great comfort. I have a loyal Ginger that snuggles at my side evenings. No knight in shinning armor, probably less to do with love, and more to de with cost of a horses and feed. Priorities are often confounded by circumstances...and the heart is first to suffer. A sad reality. Congratulations on win!

When no one is around to hold us dear and when we are lonely and companionless, a pet's unconditional love is priceless. Beautiful poem, dear Anne. Love and hugs!
