“In the fall, I believe again in poetry...” — Jaakko A. Ahokas When September comes through heated breezes, sunflowers watch droll dragonflies duet to tunes of melodic taunts and teases of Autumn's promise to pay Summer's debt. A bright season greets us without regret. Behind is buried under yesterday and tomorrow is waiting for its say. Joyful is this moment in Nature's arms when time suspends until it finds its way and ripe Autumn casts its bountiful charms.

Poetic images and rhymes about Autumns welcome return. I think where you live, autumn is more welcome than where I live. :-)

I fear your Autumn is our Summer. Predicted heat, heat, heat through September. LOL No complaints though. This is not hot compared to other places I've lived. Thanks friend. Good to see you! :)

Laf this is beautiful poetry. It's such a pleasure to read something so poetically created with thought and skill, that sets the mind reeling on a journey. Icing on the cake is your wonderful way with wafting alteration, it adds sparkle to an already intriguingly pleasing poem. I dont comment much any more my friend but when I do its because I was genuinely moved.

Dear Linda, your poem captures the splendor of September and Autumn with brilliant imagery and rhymes. I love September and Autumn and I adore your title which animates the transition and lull between summer and fall so beautifully. I was especially struck by "Autumn's promise to pay Summer's debt" -wow! and "Behind is buried under yesterday/and tomorrow is waiting for its say" - amazing! But every line sparkles like the September sun in blue skies. Warmest wishes, my poet friend.. ~Susan

That is one fascinating rhyme scheme Linda; I'm not familiar with the dizain form but you've nailed it. (ababbccdcd) I need to read up more on poetry forms. The title caught my eye because I was reminded of the 1968 film of the same name and the song: "Interlude" by Timi Yuro - perhaps my favourite song from a film of all time. I digress. Nature comes alive in your poem and the use of the title is masterful here. "Behind is buried under yesterday" speaks new beginnings. Cheers - Gary

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qXej8xJeLk&list=RDMM&index=9. If ever there was a poem put to music it is Timi Yuro's Interlude. I'm off to read a couple more of your poems. Cheers - Gary
