Prayer Request: Urgent - Donna Golden's Blog

<P><STRONG>Hello Poetry Soup Friends...<BR>&nbsp;<BR>I'd like to request prayer for my five year-old nephew, Sam. Specialists have found a large, malignant tumor&nbsp;embedded in the base of his spine (the sacrum) as well as the surrounding soft tissue. The&nbsp;mass is&nbsp;eight centimeters in size and is called&nbsp;Ewing's Sarcoma. This comes as a shock to the family, because he has been a healthy boy up until about two weeks ago.<BR>&nbsp;<BR>Doctors cannot operate at this time because the location of the tumor presents the&nbsp;risk of nerve damage and paralysis. For this reason, they are also ruling out radiation therapy. This Tuesday he will be having a PET scan to determine the stage of the cancer and to find out whether it has spread to the lungs or any other part of his body.&nbsp;If&nbsp;it has not spread, he will be looking at a ninth month chemotherapy treatment&nbsp;at Seattle Children's Hospital. If it has spread, his prognosis becomes very grim.<BR>&nbsp;<BR>Please pray for healing,&nbsp;and/or favorable findings on Tuesday. <BR>&nbsp;<BR>Thank you all for your&nbsp;constant support.<BR>&nbsp;<BR>Donna Golden</STRONG><BR>&nbsp;<BR></P>

Janetta Harrington Date: 5/31/2009 7:01:00 AM i don't want to but in but i wish you would call cancer center of america nearest you. these people can do the unbelievable. they also do laser stuff. i am an r.n. and one of my family was "dying" and his wife took him there and he is great now with minimal chemo. at least a 2nd opinion would be appropriate. I pray that he will grow through this and keep looking forward with a positive heart. I pray that he will be humble, positive, and not afraid. That he will keep a focus of enlightenment, visualize his body healing, meditate on the love within, and expect the best of recovery as his body overcomes this ailment.
